For fans of 80's music, Matthew Rudd who some of you may know from articles on amber nectar has got a new show on absolute 80's from 7pm on Sunday nights
Yeah not an Eagles fan but really enjoyed watching it , But did turn over at 11 for family guy dont think it was 11 might have been 12:45 that i watched family guy?
i like a few jars in the garden with absolute 80's on. for me, I can't split 'New Sensation' by INXS and 'Big Area' by Then Jericho as my top 80's tunes.
80s music is waaaaay better than today's crap. A personal fave:
a girl at my work has the opening bars of that tattoo'd on her foot. I didn't like her until I found that out, I think she's kinda quirky/cute now.
Love The Roses, The Smiths, Jesus and Marychains and Primal Scream. John Squire and Johnny Marr are the reason I'm trying to learn the guitar.
The Smiths, Stone Roses, Primal Scream among others such as The La's are among my favorite artists. Marr and Squire are the reason I've been meaning to play the guitar as well. The song that did it for me was Hand In Glove and What Difference Does It Make? by The Smiths. Its the best thing I've ever done. My guitar at the start of year. Can strum a few open chords, play 8 or 9 songs. This is the song these too songs are what did for me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8bHRFm85hM
My fave Stone Roses song: I say 'favorite', but most of the Roses' catalog is fantastic. Sally Cinnamon, Elephant Stone, I Wanna Be Adored, Waterfall, Bye Bye Badman, This Is The One, I Am The Resurrection among countless others. Heaton Park last June was one of the best days of my life. I only wish I had been my current age throughout the mid to late 80s...
Concert now - "Saturday night" -Don Henley - must be one of the all time best male vocalists - awesome.
