Totally went out of my head after work yesterday so I can have no complaints with what the results were. Anybody know what happened? I used to be interested in politics but I am finding myself more and more apathetic towards it (which is not good I know) but personally I am sick of all of them and their false promises and the fact that they do not look after the people they should look after like OAP's who have worked all their lives and people who through no fault of their own find themselves in desperate circumstances. People who throughout their lives have contributed with tax and national insurance contributions (unlike the spongers and the excessive immigrants we allow in) who get everything on a plate. And if that makes me a racist or intolerant to junkies and lazy slobs and benefits cheats then that's what I am. Not ideal attitude but I'm afraid it's a big **** 'em from me. And unless they start getting the bankers toeing the line who are partly responsible for the mess the world is in and outlaw these on-going immoral and disgusting bonus packages then they can swivel on it (to use an 80's term). Can you tell the sun has disappeared?

But at the end of the day, the SNP wiped the floor with every other ****. First step towards Independence.
Aye but all it will mean is a transfer of power and wealth and benefits from the South of England to the Central Belt in Scotland. That's already the case and we are not fully independant. I'm all for UKIP myself. Get us the **** out of Europe like one of the posters has said on here.
ER Why didn't you go and vote? Surely one of the parties could have arranged a lift for you and the rest of the OAPs? As for the right-wing parties such as UKIP, BNP, SNF etc., they were roundly rejected by the Scottish electorate. Thankfully, we don't fall for the bullshit printed in the right-wing London press about funny coloured people hiding behind bushes waiting to kill us.
Are you seriously trying to tell me that Scotland is non racist. Wake up FFS. Even amongst you totheids in the Old Farm you can't get over religious bigotry. Don't make me laugh. He is racist in his attitude to English people so he can **** off somewhere else.
So ST, with your inner knowledge of the Scottish political system etc, how do you see the SNP's baby , the independence referendum going? At the moment it seems only about 20% would go for it. DO you think the snip can persuade a mojority of the electorate round to their way of thinking or not?
Jesus Staggie don't mention facts to him. He's a tim remember. They don't deal in facts, just paranoia and conspiracies.
Staggie I think it unlikely they can convince enough people to go for independence but they have three years or so to work on the electorate. No one predicted how well they would do last Thursday so anything is possible. It depends on circumstances. If things go really bad with the coalition in London and the SNP can distance themselves from any financial and political difficulties (which they are very deft at doing) then you never know. I don't think they'll succeed but a lot of things can happen in three years.
