I did say last week that Reina wasn't going anywhere, Barca aren't interested and he wouldn't go anywhere else from those who need keepers. He's staying kaput. 20mill is alot mind you, but can't see anyone offering more than 12-15 tops for a keeper. Would much rather keep him and maintain some consistency in defense from this season to the next.
Lets hope it's true and he stays, he's a very good keeper and should be in line for vice captain once Carra is gone.
As well as being a good shot stopper and comfortable with the ball at his feet, Reina is experienced, vocal and a big dressing room figure.
Lets be honest the rumour has a definite smell of bullshit. BBC had it that Barca were only going to pay £8.5mil, I know Barca like to drive the prices down with tapping up but 8.5 is ridiculously low for a GK in his prime. BR is right, its that time of year when football 'journalists' try to predict who'll be moving in a few months. So they scatter gun rumour just so they can get 1 right.
It must've been that time of year all season, then, because the rumours have been around all season. Almost every player leaving a club is presaged with insistence that he's not for sale. Note the Utd-Rooney denials that he's going anywhere, when every fan and her sister knows he's going.
