Much has been written about the effects of staying away from games, singing ant bates songs etc. Clearly a minority at home games are making their feelings felt or so it sounds on the tv. Why not have an organised protest whereby fans would wear shirts supporting the Sheikh and singing songs to the same effect. Would not have any detrimental effect on players morale on field, would let Bates know we still hate him and might grab media attention if shirts were designed using a fluorescent colour. Cameras couldnt ignore 23000 fluorescent green shirts with bold message on the front. Important this is done at home matches where bates or investors may be attending, almost pointless at away matches. A pro sheikh campaign rather than anti bates might be far more effective. What do you lot think?
Fabulous idea!! I always advocate we sing and support our team rather than waste our efforts on dissing the opposition, so why not a pro investor effort?
Great idea until you try and persuade everyone to part with their cash and buy one. Another stumbling block could be that we do not officially know who the proposed buyers are. TBH I am sick of this T/O and how long it has taken and if it meant every fan staying away from ER until Bates sold and got his finger out then so be it.
Im sure most, if not all fans in Kop end would support it. How impressive would even that look on a match day, particularly on tv with full end behind goals in fluorescent green. Message could be support a new owner, anyone. Doesnt have to mention a sheikh
Bit of a challenge when their identity is not known, eh? I am conident that someone with more imagination and time on their hands than I have could come up with something. Good idea!
