Today was the game of Liverpool's lives, their cup final and now their season has ended having won one of the two trophies they were aiming for which will go nicely with the "Won 4 1 but won **** all" Cup.

For Man Utd the season goes on and our run in is now very similar to Arsenal's but we have the experience and the know how.

There are always a few tools who predict that we'll thrash someone. I thought we'd do well to get a point today as this game meant everything to Liverpool.

To be fair, a few of you were angling for a draw. Liverpool always up their game against Utd as today proved again. Two defeats on the spin now. Title race back on <ok>

Just as much as we loved all the 2-0 and 3-0 predictions about you and Sunderland <ok> At least this game was recognised as a major challenge for Utd, whereas Sunderland at home should have been a definite 3 points for you guys...

Losing to Liverpool at Anfield is no crisis. After all...they've done the double over the chavs this season <ok>

Berbnandez this thread stinks of bitterness. As for the game of our lives, this game was far more important for you than for us, all we're going for is an EL spot; this game wasnt exactly make or break. Tbh I'm more happy about the performance and passion we showed today, it gives me confidence for next season, the fact we beat united was just a bonus.

This game was way more important to Man United than it was to Liverpool. United have the league title at stake, Liverpool don't. To suggest anything else just makes you look bitter.

Your right, losing to Liverpool away is no disgrace. Losing away to an off-form Chelsea and losing two in a row is.

Losing two in a row? Like losing at home to Sunderland and away to Birmingham? Or losing to Newcastle in the CC and then at Man City? Or even losing at Wolves and then at Marseille? Now, what do they say about people in glass houses again? <laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>

Oh piss off, their cup final? What a load of cobblers, they didnt even play that well, they didnt have to, beause we were piss poor. As per bloody usual away from home.

This is one of the worst liverpool teams in the last 20 or so years, probably the worst and they smashed us. We should of taken a draw bare minimum but our players not only played awfully but looked like they couldnt give a hoot.

Full credit to liverpool, but I am not gonna sit here and say they played like barcelona, they didnt, we however played like accrington.

It's an embarrassing defeat, due to the fact Liverpool are hardly a threat these days, but the season is not over! :)

Utter cobblers. Liverpool could fail in all areas in the course of a season, yet still call it a success if they've conquered United atleast once. It's ridiculous to say otherwise given the sheer jubilation from the dippers after todays game <laugh>

Completely agree. Not only cos beating Utd is the only success they're likely to taste this season, but also cos Liverpool qualifying for the Europa League is vitally important for them. Miss out on the EL and they'll not be able to attract the players needed to improve, and will end up with another season in the wilderness...
