    ... not that long ago we were fighting with them for a place in the Championship play-offs .. for most of my life we have been the 'poor relations' ... under Brian Clough they were, let's face it (grudgingly <grr>), fantastic ...

    ... just seen this on the BBC website ... a sobering reflection of where they are at this point in footballing history ... particularly when you compare their recent 'transfer activity' with ours ...

    ... a native american saying (Apache) "only the rocks last (live) forever" springs to my mind ... I have seen Man United, Man City, Forest and Leeds all fall from the pinnacle of English football in my lifetime ... relegated to the equivalent of the Championship and for some further ... the end of Liverpool's seemingly impervious dynasty ... it begs the question ... is time catching up with Chelsea?
