This story seems to have gone un-noticed...... What could happens in these situations to a club? Nottingham Forest owner Nigel Doughty has been found dead in the gym at his home in Skillington, Lincolnshire. In October, Doughty, 54, announced he would be stepping down as Forest chairman at the end of the season. He bought the club in 1999 for £11m, saving them from administration, and took over as chairman from Eric Barnes three years later. The life-long Forest fan is estimated to have invested more than £100m of his personal fortune into the club. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16890236
i belive the club will pass to his family (IF HE HAS ONE???) and they will choose what to do with it (he will most likley have it in a will with a trust fund set up to pay for the club however the family will not be making as much money so will most likley sell it
