.... anyone going? Me and Mrs R&W are - good chance of getting something here because they are on a far more dire run than us. I’ve never seen us win there so fingers crossed!!
See you there then RS - seeing as there are only 3 of us going we should be easy to spot. Queue at the bar at half time should be small too!!!
Because when I support my club it’s not conditional. I don’t decide to boycott because I don’t like the manager - or the chairman. I was down the gate (ok not as much as I would like because I worked Saturdays) in the 1980s under Terry Cooper and Joe Royle and I can’t remember any vitriol against them - and believe me we were ****e. We were a div 3 - or even 4 club and I stood in the East End and sung my heart out playing Wrexham and Newport County on a wet Saturday afternoon. If you want a quick fix why don’t you go and join the plastics - why not Liverpool? They are playing great attacking football and you will find many compatriots to mingle with in the pubs and bars of Bristol. I’m sticking with LJ and the boys. I’m off to Nottingham and I hope we win - even if we lose to Hull on Saturday and the playoffs are unattainable. That’s just who I am - and I can’t change.
Well ****ing said! RedRobin isn’t a true Bristol City supporter so take no notice of the ****e that he spews. Up The City!
Good on you-however I'm going to stick my oar out here, 20 Consecutive season tickets and watching city away many many times, getting back in 2,3 o'clock in the morning sometimes from games up north in Hartlepool or Scunny on a night game. The have all bottled it management and players, not even a top six spot absolute disgrace. If your happy with that good on you, glad i don't own the club as i would be furious considering how 2017 went.
Am I happy with current form? No - but I’ve seen worse Am I happy with the January signings? No. I can’t see any improvement to our squad at all. Am I happy with our season overall? Absolutely YES. This is the first season since the GJ days when we weren’t fighting the drop to league 1 or were actually IN league 1.
Yes well done on being alive longer than me. You were probably moaning like **** about every little thing back then as well.
Answer this question honestly would LJ be in the job still at one of the other promotion chasing sides on his current stats.
I’ll answer this. I believe YES, because I believe that no chairman in football would sack a manager when still in with a mathematical chance of the playoffs at this stage of the season. It would be utter madness - and would basically send a statement to anyone tempted to take the job that they were working for a moron. It would be sheer stupidity. I assume you WOULD sack him right now then? And give the last remaining games to McAllister? Williams? ( I WOULD however be sorely tempted to sack, or at least ‘have a word’ with the scout who sent us those January signings....!!!)
I would not replace today, let him run the last three games, personally think they will all be lost, then it is time to remove him for the rebuild. Regards the signings and loans who ever sanctioned them needs removing from the set up. All dire with a capital D Have you seen his statement today looks like the side is going to be dismantled from top to bottom.Clearly his three windows have not worked.
If you went all the way to those away games to scream ‘manager out’ then maybe that’s why we have not seen top flight for so long!!!!!!
