Alongside his comments about his future after last night's game Lambert was also quoted as saying

"The higher you go the more the challenge it is to bring in players but it is something I enjoy. Ian and I have been abroad to look at games numerous times and there is some terrific footballers out there, but they will demand an awful lot of money, but there are lads we have identified.”

Any ideas where he has been travelling?

I must admit I did enjoy the occasions when we played an all English team but it is a sign that we are moving forward if foreign players want to come to little old naarwich.

no idea who they've been looking at but i think there is a balance to be struck. three or four foreign additions is fine i feel but when you look at how few english, even british players, many clubs in the premier league have, it makes me think they haven't got that balance right at all. its all about where we get value for money from <ok>

What's the rule now about how many home grown players in the squad? Not that we are likely to run up against it, we've got a lot of room for manoeuvre at the moment.

The striker at hannover! Ian culverhouse has been spotted at one of there games before and its his name that seems to crop up all the time! Mohammed abdalloue

ah yes, i remember that one! he's their norwegian striker (not that you'd guess that from his name - must have egyptian roots or somewhere like that). i think he was valued around the £7m mark though <yikes>

Is it currently 8? Even if it was 15 we would have no problem. Most squads make the numbers up with a few young players who rarely play.

But to be fair supers he scored goals for the past 2 seasons in a increasingly competitive bundesliga so a player of his calibre in this country would easily cost double that! And thats also compared to jay Rodriguez asking price. You get more bargains abroad even if you spend that little bit more, just look at cabeye, cisse and Ben arfa etc

not moaning at the price, more that it looks increasingly as though that's the price we shall have to pay for our next centre forward!
