Personally I think the game will go ahead the forecast is not too bad although you can never know If a forecast is umma become true , will have To wait and see
Please not another cancellation. This is causing me horrendous problems, I still have not got the Northampton game rearranged at work yet, because I had only just sorted out two mid week games in Feb. If we are going to keep cancelling games, then we might as well cancel winter fixtures in league football. Moving that Wycombe game might have helped the armchair fans but it did me no favours.
NO!!! I hope not! i fly over at 10am in the morning - when will they make a final decision? I flew over to York too and only found out it was cancelled in the pub.
In my job I get a lot of weather info - if you check the Met office site they have a forecast for GFC! - looks cold but not cold enough to freeze the pitch I wouldnt think (though I'm an engineer not a groundsman) - I reckon it will be on but wear lots of layers I rarely post I've tried to put a link in below but if it doesn't work just google met office and then 5 day forecast then put in gillingham HTH Roy http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gillingham-fc#?tab=fiveDay
oldsparky (Roy) - Welcome to the board. I have released your post from moderation. Probably best to try and avoid using links for a while in your posting history otherwise the system will keep automatically blocking your posts, until a moderator releases them. brb
Thanks - I really use the board as entertainment and for info, just thought I could help didn't realise about the link thing Roy
No probs, with you being a light user of the site it will take ages to release you from moderation. So probably best to keep to type text only, it will then avoid your posts being blocked - well unless you use certain keywords of course.
Im sure the weather will be fine! Travelling down from Buckingham in the morning for some entertainment and 3 points!!
I hate snow, used to like it when I was at school so I would get a day off (sadly the school did not like to close though) but now it is not good, with my college work I would have to do it at home and that would be harder to concentrate, also if the college was open I would have to walk in it which is annoying and when you live half an hour away in normal conditions then you have to think how long it will take when going slow, with how fast I walk I get there in half an hour so it would probably take me an hour in snow but with the game on it better not ruin it, I just don't want snow, not this year, it can cover Scotland but not here.
I just heard on Kmfm that there is some snow somewhere in kent but just flakes and it stopped quickly and it better stay that way.
Anyone know what it's doing in Gillingham! Leaving shortly! Bus to MK from Buckingham, then the train down! Rain in Buckingham at the moment if they want to play here??
gfc1234 - where I am it is 4c probably about a degree warmer than Priestfield although can see no reason for the game not being on. Just seen the BBC weather rain/snow is forecast but not sure if it might just miss us until about 5pm.
I live right near ground only a few minutes walk away and it is ok cold but not as bad as they said it would be.
