I think we were pre-season favourites or there abouts for the past two seasons - it's the 'big fish in a small pond' affect. The expectations seem a bit higher this season and I would like to think we will be in the top 7 at least, whereas the past two seasons have been about stability.
I err on the side of caution. We've been favourites for promotion every season we've been in this league and haven't done it because, simply, we've not been good enough. The stature of the club makes us favourites regardless of the strength of the squad. My aim thus remains play-off with minimum top-half finish as an acceptable goal for this season.
