Hi guys I received this message yesterday and it would be great if we could get a bit more publicity out there...so if these sorts of suggestions could be implemented in the match threads that would be fab. I wouldn't want anyone to go to lots of extra trouble though, so if it's too much to ask, don't worry, we love the match threads, but it would be great to get extra posters in if possible Hi horny....... Just popped over to your board....to have a look at your match thread. I will quite happily Promote them for you to the Newsnow website to help give you a broader audience. Trouble is we really need a minimum of around 200 words to get them accepted. It doesn't have to be exact but as near as dam it. Suggest you have a word with the author.......Tell him to edit it and beef it up with a bit with more information, who the refs are, recent form that kind of thing. You pm me when and if it's done I will do the rest for you. It is a good way of adding to your fan base....that is how we and others have built up our numbers over the years. If you let your people know what the general minimum words need to be, let me know, I will have to edit it for obvious reasons......but it must be their own work no copies of other peoples (other than official links that is) Just thought it might help... NOt sure about this 1 - who is BT? 2 - the match thread is for US isn't it - not a publicity for the club / board / not6o6 etc 3 - it is difficult getting people with the time to do the thread and I think they have done an excellent job - for me it is thanks but no thanks

Hi Leonardo, trust me this is a tried and tested method of bringing more fans to the site! Beddytare' Southampton get literally dozens of people looking in, if they like what they see, they will join up and take part!
Well I just did a search for it and wasn't at all sure that I will again. Too much there before you find what you want and then not very good. Using the the word followers also puts me off for some reason. Sounds like FB or Twitter which I have doubts about. I try to keep up, but come from the Cliff Holton era.
I reserve NewsNow, Norwich City as a favourite, it updates every 5 minutes with stories about NCFC from all round the globe! It's my biggest source of information and is usually well ahead of BBC!
The more the better...could be an idea, I only want to do match thread till the end of this season mind...

On the other hand new ideas , progress , new blood on the board isnt such a bad idea ,might need a lot more policing though lol.
Haven given it a little more thought, whilst I am all for adding to our fan base I am not sure News Now is much of a source and also this Board is for us and to start writing threadsin a way to please someone else rather than what we have time and an inclination for is not what it is about - let them take what is produced or not as they please.
I'm not averse to the idea, but for me the reality is that it should be down to those who take the trouble to prepare the threads. If any of the current authors have the time to spend, or the devotion that AK had when he undertook the role, then why not? Not just the issue of 'doing it', but there is also the issue of a deadline to consider. The main thread can be a 'living thing' that is updated as and when more info comes to hand - does submitting to News Now allow for this?
