I am happy about Carrow Rd. I feel I can back and support what is going on and it's a nice feeling to return because I was getting severely pissed of and losing interest in City. It may fall flat but at least the reasons for the appointment are clear and I can be sure he is not one of Delias emotional picks. I think this guy has got the charisma and authority to acheive alot of good for this football club. Man management is absolutely vital and all I've heard is good reviews. As long as he knows his tactics etc I have no doubt we will go up as Champions because I still think we have the best squad in the Division by some distance. I've never waivered on that despite the poor results. This is a very poor Division and I think we are about to score a bundle of goals. We could well tear most teams apart. I'd also say by the time of the next Derby (10 games) we will either already be above Ipswich or overtake them when we beat them. I have little doubt we have exciting times ahead.
Lots of bold claims in here. We would have to go on a hell of a run to end up as champions and I think that may well be beyond our reach now. Of course, I'd be happy to be proved wrong on this. I agree with the general tone of the post though and I do feel more optimistic about Norwich than I have done for a long time. He certainly talks the talk and the more I read about him the more enthused I am about his appointment.
Somebody clearly got out of the right side of the bed this morning! You're certainly not alone, however. Rather than the uninspired sideways shunt that happened with Hughton and then Adams, this one feels like it's been meticulously planned and executed with the best interests of the football club - rather than the board of directors, at heart. Bring it on
Who the hell are you - and where is the 'real' Carrabuh? As stated above, Champions is almost certainly out of reach, as is 2nd place in all probability. Perhaps not today (though you never know), but the next home game should see a totally rejuvenated home crowd and one hell of an atmosphere, which will hopefully be highly infectious and spread on to the pitch. Onwards and upwards
If the division proves to be as poor as you believe it is, then yes, making up an 11 point gap is not insurmountable. My thought, as of today though, is based on 'normal' points totals for the top 2, what we have today and what we can get in the remaining games - it's tight if it turns out to be a 'normal' season.
Put it this way, we've been really poor in so many games and only been outclassed in one. That team we have to play at home. It is a division lacking quality. Imagine if we are firing on all cylinders for the majority of games as we have in the odd game, we are obviously capable of doing it. As long as he knows his stuff, promotion will be a formality because the playing staff are there.
Agreed it has not been often that we have been beaten by a better team (on the day), I can think of Wolves & Middlesbrough (and Wolves being better could be argued). So as long as Norwich stop shooting themselves in the foot, then we could well be in for a ridiculous few months
66 points to play for, hell we could still even make 100 points and 100 goals! The Binners are going to get very excited over your post, Carrabuh, I hope it wasn't just a wind up. I don't think we will make up the ground on champions (and frankly I don't care if we get promoted), but I am very much feeling a similar sense of positivity. And I'd say that's even if we don't get promoted.
Not at all great. Very little goalmouth action. Quite a lot of long range shots from David "Row Z" McGoldrick but precious little else.
Well, I'm going to shoot out for an hour before kick-off - and have a pint of what ever carrabuh's been necking this morning And I should be back in time to see us win 4-0
You're spot on re man management. Think you might be being a little optimistic about winning the league, but there's no reason we shouldn't make the play offs. We need some stability it the team and management now. It's somehwat surprising how united everyone is behing Alex Neil. But that's something we've been totally lacking since Lambert. It's a good start without a ball being kicked. Let's hope the football backs it up.
Ok I'll tone it down just a tad, if we don't lose today I think we'll do it. Must admit, a defeat today would make it exceptionally tough. I'm certainly going to stick with the Ipswich prediction however, they will hit a brick wall soon and we should meet them at the tipping point to bulldoze it back onto them.
