For the first time in five years.....

Liverpool have begun pre season training with the same manager as the previous summer. What does that say about our owners, and our club at this moment in time?

 

Isn't it more like 3 seasons? Benitez didn't get sacked until 2010.

It says we give loyalty to those who don't justify it but deny it to the club's greatest servant.

it says we're a plastic club more concerned with Abramovich-style success than anything else the club has ever stood for.

Without 4th place or higher we are a selling club and unfortunately due to several owners we have not been as enduring with flaccid managerial spells. Not that I agree with what has happened, two managers for me should not have been sacked in Rafa and then Kenny but it at least explains why we have been chopping and changing, we've had 3 owners in that time.

We will be a selling club for top talent as long as we fail to qualify for the Champions League, not because of our current owners

Bit harsh on the owners though. They've not been here three years yet, they rightly got rid of the first manager (early in reign too) who was already in post when they bought the club.

So basically, two managers appointed. Boils down to the Kenny situation again then...

 

Brendan Rodgers is like the 5th longest serving manager in the PL at the moment.

 

Shared equally with about four other managers (unless you're counting the days)

 

I'm convinced you're a WUM now. Surely nobody can go about their daily life thinking in perpetual contradictions at all times?

I'll just try and work out your logic now:

We didn't show enough loyalty in giving Kenny another season... so we should henceforth fire the new manager early in his reign?
We are focused on Abramovich style success... despite the fact Chelsea have 11 trophies in the past 10 years and we could only dream of that return?
We are a selling club... Our 3 biggest sales in the last 5 years were Mascherano, Torres and Alonso (not one of those sold by the antichrist that is Brendan)

It must be difficult being you, MFG. I think you need to have a nice sleep under your King Kenny duvet, don't forget to keep you King Kenny nightlight on though in case Brendan comes in and murders you in your sleep! He is an evil man not deserving of any trust or loyalty after all!

Hmmm, name a club that never sells a player?

MFG must be the only LFC fan (allegedly) that actually wants us to fail in order to validate his prediction.

 

Which is kind of ironic when you think about it because despite being treated pretty shoddily, the great man himself (Kenny not MFG) will be exactly the opposite. He'll still want us to succeed. He might not have time and respect for FSG but I bet he doesn't want anything other than for us to win trophies.

 

Brendan has brought in his own players now and had a little time to get his idea across to the squad. It doesn't matter what MFG thinks or what us who support him think. This coming season and the performance on the pitch is what really matters time for Rodgers to show us what he can do, you dont get a lot of time in the modern football we have to improve quickly or there will be a lot more MFG's.
