We've all had our moments in the past few weeks, almost talking ourselves down. Four games to go and four games that CAN be won. If you don't believe you may as well not bother. Here's a short poem that is attributed to the great Jesse Owens, it says it all: If you think you are beaten, you are. If you think you dare not, you don't. If you like to win but think you can't, It's almost a cinch you won't. If you think you'll lose, you're lost. For out in the world we find Success begins with a fellow's will, It's all in the state of mind. If you think you are outclassed, you are. You've got to think high to rise. You've got to be sure of yourself before You can ever win the prize. Life's battles don't always go To the stronger or faster man. But sooner or later, the man who wins Is the man who thinks he can.
So we all think we can beat Tottenham, Chelsea, Stoke and City? Fact is we're going need a fair few points out of that lot to have any chance of survival. I certainly hope we can dig out the necessaries but I wouldn't put my life on it. Does that mean we're gone? Not at all. Depends on how the others in the mix do... but that's the problem isn't it? It's not really in our hands atm.
