Yep, and it had been coming. Villa have been absolutely pathetic and it's taken City scoring to make them show a bit of ambition. They have just missed a good chance though.

I only watched bits of the Bitters game today but they seemed to grind out a win. I did see Hart's save at the end which was exceptional. The worry is that they are going through their bad patch and are still on top. They will improve dramatically when Y. Toure comes back unless he's knackered. I think that defeat to Blackburn at Old Trafford could well cost us the 20th. Rooney will have a lot to answer for, regardless of how well he plays in every other league game!

Can only assume he is saying that Rooney getting himself dropped before Blackburn is the reason we lost that game, and hence if we fail to win the league it's all Rooney's fault. Kind of ignores the fact that we had £130 million worth of talent on the pitch all of whom should be capable of beating a relegation threatened team at home...

Every team has there star players but we dont heavily or at least shouldnt have to rely on Rooney imo.

We do rely too heavily on Rooney but it wasn't just the fact he missed the game that had an impact on the result. He has a habit of unsettling the squad by acting up on occasion. If he was working under any other manager his prima donna status would have been confirmed a long time ago.
