Closed after it was bombed by the IRA in the early 70s the BT Tower will be open for one day only on Nov 25th. I remember going up it in 1968 when it was London's tallest building. Anyone else been up there back in the 60s?...

My father actually lived in a building that was originally on that site in Howland Street during the 40s. It was bombed one night he was working and he returned to find a hole in the ground later that evening. He always joked he found his pyjamas in Regent's Park...

I remember my father and I looking down and spending 10 minutes watching a couple of parking wardens going along two streets sticking tickets on every car. We even used the big binoculars for a closer look. (Luckily we had used the Tube.)

It still has but it's not a resturant anymore...

I used to frequent a pub in the shadow of the tower, called the Cunard, presumably because it was wedge shaped

I once pinged a traffic warden from the roof of a 7 storey house with a licorice allsort, as he ticketed a car. I'm not overly proud of it, but I laughed at the time when I realised it was a licorice assault.
