I usually dislike early KO,s. But not this Sat. My daughters getting married this sat at 3.30pm. If it was the usual KO time of 3pm then there is no chance of getting to the game. But with the early KO I can get to watch the game. I have worked out that I have approx half an hour to dash home ****, shower, shave and get me whistle on before the car arrives around 3.05pm to get us to the service. Happy days. Three points would make it an even more special day.

Funnily enough Chazz, thats where me and the Mrs had our reception (not joking) and i,m embarrassed to say that our first dance was "making your mind up" by buckfizz for some strange reason.

I trust you won't be sneaking off before the final whistle.

i remeber the landlord of concorde in the late 70s offering any guy in the snooker room 70 quid and a bottle of brandy to do a striptease as the stripper they had booked never turned up.
no one took the offer of course.imagine stripping in front of a club full of OPE women!

If you can manage to stay until the end on a day like this you have to wonder what is so pressing to make all those leave early every game no matter the score or state of the game.

The day I got married, some friends of mine came to the service, then left straight after and went to the City match, then came back to the reception after. Obviously I didn't go to the game, but hey ho, we beat York 4-0.

Wow, I think i,d draw the line at that, I think I,d miss maybe a cousins wedding if it meant missing a city game. In fact the family would expect me too.
