Irish League club Crusaders FC have announced they are to play Glasgow Rangers in a friendly. The north Belfast side said the Scottish Premiership champions would be visiting their home ground Seaview for a fixture before Christmas, on a date still to be finalised. They said the announcement followed negotiations and that Rangers would "bring over a strong squad". The club said further details would be revealed in the future. Current Glasgow Rangers manager Ally McCoist played at Seaview the last time the two teams met in 1997. Italian international Gennaro Gattuso also featured for Rangers in the game which was a testimonial for Crusaders player Kirk Hunter. Rangers currently have a number of Northern Ireland internationals in their squad including Steven Davis, Kyle Lafferty and David Healy.
No offence but 'A strong squad' - where are they going to find that? The bench on saturday showed how strong a squad we have.
