I saw a cracking footy quiz question on Twitter today, so I thought I'd share it with you. It's not really Saints related (sorry), but I thought some of you might like a crack none the less. (PS. If you happened to come across it yourself on Twitter, please don't answer). Can you name all nine players to have played for at least two of the Big 4 (ie Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal), and also at least one Spanish club?
5/5 SA. You've gone ahead of PM. (I did put an ever-so-slight hint in my introduction referring to Hughes, but I'd hope most of us Saints wouldn't need it).
Diarra Pennant Torres Owen Benayoun Anelka Hughes Petit And...Boudewijn Zenden! I spent about an hour lying on the sofa racking my brain before I got that one. Not the most exciting of Friday nights.
If there is a list, to show how many players have played for just one of the "big 4" and any Spanish team, I imagine it would be pretty extensive. Which shows, just how much, that the big clubs hate to sell to each other, thanks to Brendy's very short list of 9. Well done St Brendy, I enjoyed that. Got any more?
Whilst I'm thinking PM, I'll leave you with these little two: 1) Name the two managers to have followed up winning the UEFA Cup/Europa League, by winning the Champions League the following season. 2) Name the two footballers to have won the World Cup both as a player and a manager.
Correct with both PieKing. I've dug a quiz book out, and I found a decent tester for PM (or at least I think it's a decent one), but I'll wait until someone has answered the 1st question from above.
