ok, I'm playing CM 01/02 with the latest player database added to it. I started my game as Cambridge United in the conference and thanks to back to back to back to back promotions i'm now in the premier league with a pretty decent squad (and no cheating). heres my team (Remember this is the game where contract protection rules were included meaning you could get some awesome bargins) please log in to view this image
Nice team mate Im on the last years version but how do you update the database? I always play with the players we have now and only buy sell the players we do in real life. Sold Torres to Man City but needed the cash for Carroll and Suarez!
I don't know. I've got footie manager 2011 but I haven't played it since downloading a free version of cm 01/02 which is immense

haha fantastic My greatest memories of Champ Manager was me and my mates doing 4 player games on the Atari STe, starting in the Championship (Div 2 maybe) and trying to get to the Prem League (Div 1 maybe)! Can anyone remember the Champ Man Italia? I got that for one Chrsitmas as a lad, I was soooooooooooo excited!!!!!
I remember a few years ago I lived in a house share with 2 mates and we used to play a 3 player network game of CM 03-04. I was Liverpool, my mate Andy was Man Utd whiel my mate Gary was Leeds (who had just been relegated). I managed to download the diablo tactic and smashed the league with Antony Le Tallac scoring over 50 goals in our first season in the process. it was brilliant as me and andy kept offering Garys coaches/scouts contracts so he never had a backroom team making promotion to "The big league" very difficult (he managed it due to the play offs in our 2nd season but throughout the first season we'd hear gary shout across the house "You ****s, stop nicking my scouts and coaches"). My mate Andy (not realising it was the tactic, not the player) brought Le Tallec off me for £65m and he immediatly returned to being awful while I put Ritchie Partridge (I think) in the AMC position for the next season who then scored for fun. are you sure that champ manager 01/02.... now i admit i had this game but you've got hazard and lucas in it. Dzecho.... they'd be like what 10 when that game came out... surely not inthe database..... have you updated the databse for new players or something? anyway i think FM2010 and FM 2011 have gon way too far into the dpeths of tactics and rubbish that basically doesn't give the ability to run a season in even a week! its mad...... sure fix your tatcis and get hings right but its so detailed it distracts away from finding players and the matches themselves.
With updates it matters not, I update my PC version of Pes even online. I love the irony of pastey faced skinny albeit RICH RICH RICH nerds making sports and sports related games

CM01/02 still has a hugly active online community (its massivley popular) with database updates still being released. You can get monthly CM database updates to keep it as up to date as possible, thats how i've got players like Dzeko, Hazard, Turan on my game. if you get the updates your CM 01/02 game will be more up to date then the latest FM game the day after its been released

Don't suppose anyone can help me with this. Read the tutorial and have gotten to the part where it says 'start autorun.' I run it as the administrator and it comes up saying that 'the specified path does not exist'. HELP?
Nice one Bozz I've had all the Champ Mans but then when Foot Man started coming out I switched "if you get the updates your CM 01/02 game will be more up to date then the latest FM game the day after its been released " True and a very good idea And UtdRed yeah you can update FM's by the players database or something Not sure how though although i've seen 606ers talking about it in the past
