Highly paid young men.....some not to bright, but some highly intelligent....

Many stories about them...sexual charges, drink driving, racism assault etc.etc etc.

So they have the world at their feet, and the eyes of the world focused on them.....yet time and time again they **** up...

But what hacks you off the most about them?

It maybe a trivial thing, but something must....

    .........................................................................................................

Could you make a role model and stay squeaky clean if you were fortunate enough to be one?

Must be hard, don't think i could.

I think you cant judge someone untill you have walked a mile in their shoes, so if any premiership players want to donate a weeks wages I will report back on what I get upto.

I think that most of us would get up to some mischeif if we had a bank role like theirs, and I also think that their not really role models anyway. There just young lads with more money then sense sometimes and shouldnt be held up as something to aspire too

Hindsight is a great thing mate.....now we are older, maybe not wiser, we have seen the world for what it is...

But as a kid, they are role models.....i would say "sadly", but without these role models the next generation may lose interest and turn to ballet dancing or something.

One thing I find a little sad, we hear all the stories of bad things then Richardson comes out about finding God. Now some believe others don't, that's fine but I would have thought that at the very least it Makes Richardson an OK role model but I have seen the odd piss take. Like I say I just find that a little sad.

I would admit to being one of them, who had a remark or two....

Maybe because it's easy to take the piss out of things we don't agree with.......sad i know...

But Ricco and co have been little bother over the years really....so you may have a point...

Will it stop us taking the piss? not a chance, bunch of fickle ****ers we are.

There are a few of them who could be used as role models, like Rico or Scholes but a lot of them I wouldnt want my son growing up like. The media go way overboard with a lot of the coverage of them though and most of the problem comes from that. If they go on the lash a have a decent session theres always some pap there waiting to snap them and print it the next day. A lot of people forget the charity work they do and most of them are involved in a charity in one way or another and this should be more reported to balance the bad with the good but that will never happen

As has been mentioned about Rico, I personally don't believe in god, but I won't ever slag him off about it. I judge the man, not what he believes in. And tbh, I would rather our youth took after him than people like Ireland (he butchers cars), Ranger, Collymore, Bosnich etc and go down their paths. Same goes for Scholes. Hates the media, would rather spend his time with his family. A very decent man. Was going to include Giggs in this, but we all know about him.

Yet there are our kids in Afghanistan who get paid a fraction of a footballers weekly wage, per year, where's the justice in that?
