I think he ignored any comparison of speed, trickery, electric goal scoring and focuses on the fact that neither are white men.

which is to my mind #racism :)

for the record I cannot think of another left footed "winger" in the past 26 years of lfc history that's even close.

mcmanaman was right footed and couldnt shoot very well.
in the 2000s Berger was more of a left midfielder and shot like a rocket but was different style and we never quite found that left side player.

sterling was the only other real option but purely superficial comparison cos he can't freaking shoot at all.

salah has scored off his head, Barnes was actually under rated with his head cos he was the guy supplying.

    both left footed

    both lightening quick

    both dribblers.

Barnes is the best benchmark for salah imo.

mane is right footed so slightly different. very very good player.

this like like comparing kuyt to Houghton for example. you can either say both were busy players who never stopped running or you could say both were white.

ahem which as we know is #racism <ok>

Cristiano Ronaldo also a winger for united before and was top scorer in the league on one or two occasions.
My point, getting the golden boot at the end of the season does not depend whether you are a striker in the middle or a winger,it's possible for Salah to get the golden the boot in the future.

MOST LIVERPOOL GOAL SCORER AFTER 12 LEAGUE GAMES.
    M. Salah 9
    R. Fowler 8
    D. Sturridge 7
    F.Torres 6
    S. Mane 6

Not really. KDB is the one we should have kept. Salah wouldn't get into this chelsea side (based on tactics) as Conte has always preferred 3-5-2 (and he isn't replacing hazard).

Been fantastic though Salah. Been a big fan of his for a while and he suits Klopp football very well.

Especially when half you boys turned against him for his poor finishing at City.

Only difference is Barnes played on the left wing and Salah is glued to the right? :p.

He's probably more comparible to Mane imo.

to be fair if Klopp got rid of your up and coming talent but won the PL then i reckon you'd make that trade off.

When you have the club stock piling talent then you are bound to make a few bad calls/release some good players (ultimately, the really good players want to progress and play, so if they aren't in the team they're going to want to move).

Willian will probably be moving on soon for us.

The worst decision was getting rid of Bertrand when he was perfectly capable (so we move dave to left back and buy baba rahman jesus wept).

Not for the long term. BTW hows the stock piling coming along now.? it seems to be that while you still have a lot of players and U23s your buying and stockpiling has dramatically slowed over the last few years.

I think something odd is happening with you lot. Matic out bakayoko in is a simple trade. it actually made you 4 mil or something. luiz out, willian out.... fabregas? pedro? arre you going t opaly some younger players now or what?

I believe you actually nearly broke even this year i nthe market.

    You sure all is well?

to be fair, Roman has reigned it back a lot recently. Even this year i think we'll break even when Costa f's off to Atletico.

I'm hoping we play more youth even if that comes at a cost of success as i guess its something new for us. I think Luiz, Willian etc out is all paper talk but i can't see Pedro or Willian staying too long to play as bench warmers. Not sure how Conte is at squad fostering (seems everyone is buying into Pep) but he has his regulars and doesn't really like to rotate. Willian is fine for the 3-5-2 formation but not sure where Pedro fits in unless Conte alternates between 3-5-2 and 3-4-3.

Fab will love this formation though, it'll be back to the Conte halycon days with Pirlo as the controller

Not sure our stock piling has been any less (well we've got loads out on loan) but maybe none of the super highly regarded youth (seems dortmund is the new location).

well it seems to me that you've quite a few young lads in those england underage teams but equally you've got a terrible name for developing youth so how that plays out who knows.

or simply put... Who's the better player?

Depends whos the manager and whos supplying.

Mane has more X factor in my book.

Salah is better if you have Henderson with the defence splitting passes

Ummm well that would be Klopp as the manager and Coutinho/Henderson/Gini supplying...

    Basically Liverpool <doh> <laugh>

I agree though I think Mane is the better player, although Salah's positioning is better. Tough call.
