Quite rightly, IMO, Robin Van Persie was voted number one by the football writers association. He's been amazing this year for Arsenal. my issue is the places for 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Rooney was voted second, good choice. However, Paul Scholes was third and Clint Dempsey 4th. WTF is that all about. Scholes has only been playing since January! Clint, you've been done son!
