Well said Johan - never seen that before I was probably outside with my mates recreating Porterfield’s winning goal
"Then we played Chelsea in the semi-final. I scored three goals over the two legs in that semi-final. We won 2-0 at home. We won away and I scored one of the goals but that game was amazing. Frightening really. It was a warzone on the terraces. Fans were fighting all over the ground and they got on the pitch several times. The game got stopped and they were proper rioting, throwing seats at the police. When I scored my goal there were police horses and policemen on the pitch. I scored in between a policeman and a fan who’d run on the pitch at Stamford Bridge. At the final whistle we just ran down the tunnel because you didn’t know what was going to happen. We were the players and you thought, ‘Well, they’ll not attack us, surely?’ but we didn’t know that for certain." https://watfordlegends.com/enjoy-the-game/colin-west-enjoy-the-game-interview/
Just seen a graphic there that half of germanys 18 biggest stadiums host 2.Bundesliga teams. 8 of those 2nd division stadiums are bigger than ours
My memory ? Wolstenhome says 10 goals in last two games - so wba 6-1 was midweek before this - I was sure it was after. !! I do remember clearly at this one , Sammy behind us , huge smile, declaring “” you need a calculator coming to these games “”
Just seen Raith Rovers have sacked their manager after losing their opening game yesterday. Madness. Apparently it’s because results since January have been poor. What a waste of a pre season.
Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, but some interesting tweeks to the laws for the coming season https://www.efl.com/news/2024/august/07/what-to-expect-from-match-officials-in-2024-25-/
Here's my elder sister at the SAFC staff barbeque last Sunday, with a couple of young lads she was hanging out with.
