i miss them days were football was more about passion and love.

I know many people say Man utd also spend alot of money but we only spend some amount of money per each transfer windows but teams like City spend 250 million all in one transfer window.

that's like buying trophies, say if City don't win the league then expect city to make some big signings this season therefore they are now ruining all the youngster's chances of breaking into their first team because they weren't get any chances.

Teams like united who mostly buys young players and also give reserve youngster's a chance like Cleverley and Welbeck and also we bought youngster;s like De Gea, Hernandez and phil jones, they have hunger and they play with more passion to football then teams who loves to spend 250ish million money on each transfer windows e.g Man City and Real Madrid and also Chelsea.

Teams like Man Utd and Arsenal who always loves to build a team with youngster's in it have more passion.

Also money is also ruining some players as well, some player's move for money rather then game times players like tevez and Nasri. Which will also cause frustrations between players. They also have arrogance. Do you ever see a player moaning about not starting or on the bench at United? no, look at Berbatov he's hardly been used this season but he hardly moans because we're United, we're a team whether City are more like individuals.

do you hardly see one club player's like Scholes, Giggs, Fletcher and Gerrard nowadays? nope, you see one player who says he's happy at the club and then the next transfer windows they leave.

Football is being ruined by money power and rich owner's who loves spending 250 million a transfer windows which also creates impatient, manager's gets sacked far too quickly as well if they do not do well for few months.

Bit of a stupid article really, when have City ever spent 250million in one transfer window? They only spent about 20million more than you in this summers transfer window and their buys were much better, and over the last 10 years you still probably have a higher spend count ( Berbatov, Veron, Nistelrooy, Rooney, Jones, De Gea, Valencia , Nani, C.Ronaldo, Young, Anderson etc etc ). All the big teams spend big money, it's how they compete and win trophies. Arsenal haven't spent properly for about 5 years and look how many years they've gone without a trophy.

Also i don't agree on the passion thing, As much as i dislike the off-field John Terry i'd say Terry is the most passionate player i've ever seen pull on a football shirt.
Another point on the money aspect - Rooney wanted to leave Man U at one point but after you bumped up his wages and offered him a mega increase he quickly signed the new contract....
How did Tevez leave for money, correct me if i'm wrong but didn't Ferguson choose to not buy him/sign him permantly after his loan.
I do agree your players play more as a TEAM than the majority of City and Chelsea due to their ego's but some of these points you have made is just to try and take a dig at Man City and Chelsea - More than likely because you're upset that City is hot on your heels in the league and Chelsea are in the CL Semi-finals.
    It's a bit childish really.

    Geordie fan in peace here....

I do get the original posters point to a degree but it's not like other clubs have not done what man city are before.

Since the premier league began clubs have been buying to try... And get success without failure. My club being one of them in the past and look at where we are now.

The fact is it does not matter how much money you spend and waste if you don't get the right players who play as a team then the money is wasted. Hungry players not greedy players.

Yes in the past united (man) have spent big money on players but also big decisions behind the scenes have been made to sustain that policy and that's why united are the biggest team in the world.....

How have City spent 240m on strikers <laugh> , City have had to spend much more than Man U because don't forget before they was taken over they was a bottom half club with a average team so they've had to spend loads of money to build a new team. They have spent a lot recently but Man U have also spent a lot just over a longer period of time spaced out, you haven't had to build a whole new team, you've been a top club for ages.

Money doesn't buy success, if money bought success then Chelsea would have won the champions league by now, Man City would be competing a lot more than they have this season, Real Madrid wouldn't be having their first successful season in years and Liverpool wouldn't be 8th in the league. Money lays the foundations for success but many more things are needed to achieve it.

Also why are you being rude as well? No need to be rude was just stating some facts and giving my opinion, I can tell your not English as your spelling is atrocious so have some respect considering you're in England and supporting a English club when your not even English so don't insult people and swear, as it just makes you look even more ridiculous than you already do
