Was hearing about this on TS this morning. Dundalk FC are one game away from a place in the Champions League and guaranteed a Europa League spot after their win last night. They might play Celtic (draw Friday) in that last game. The game had to be moved form their ground as it has a capacity of 3,000 and so it was moved to a ground with a capacity of 7,000. The next game will be played in the national stadium apparently. When Brazil asked if some Guiness was sunk after the win, the manager said 'no we have a 4hr coach ride to play Galway on Friday night'. Players are paid for 40 weeks a year only and some have extra jobs. http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2016/0802/806543-dundalk-v-bate-borisov/ Good time feeling at that club I bet!!!!!
The 7000 capacity ground is called Tallaght Stadium, in South West Dublin, & its greatest claim to fame is that it was the location where Ronaldo made his debut appearance for Real Madrid back in 2009. The Spanish media descended like locusts for that one apparently and temporary extra seating was added to bring the capacity up to 11000.
