We'd better not be involved. Our initial high scoring followed by recent low scoring and ability to play the ball gets me worried...Silly thoughts creeping in with the insomnia?

I'd suggest nothing to worry about at our level. They said that the players were on £5k a month which is why £7k would mean quite a bit to them. Our first team players - as in the ones who would make a difference to a result - would be on nearer £5-10k a week. I would suggest it is probably nearer League 2 level

According to the Beeb, "At least three footballers are reported to be among those held across the country, but the BBC understands that none is linked to professional clubs."

I suppose we can all think of clubs that are not very professional. ;)

Sounds like matches at St Albans level - players maybe keen to get their hand on easy money and fix matches which not many people worry about?
