    Evening ladies and gents,

So with the end of the transfer window coming up it's that time of year I turn to carving the number of days left till the new football manager comes out into my wall and start to crave it like mad.

I'm sure there are atleast 2-3 of us that play it so this is the place to discuss!!

Who are you most looking forward to owning of our new signings?

Who are you going to transfer list?

Anyone already on your "wanted" list?

What team will you play as? What is your goal to achieve with them?

    What formation will you employ?

All things Football Manager go here!!

I usually play with a lowest league team, but this year I'm really excited to play with Spurs, although all our players are going to be vastly underated AGAIN.

Usually attempt to go on a massive push from non-league to 5 continent champions league trophies. I've yet to attain it though. I've had a European one a few times, and the South American and African, but never all 5 titles under one save.

Haven't played it for years but I never usually liked being Spurs as I didn't like selling the majority of our squad over 2-3 years in order to do well with it. With this transfer window you'd be hard pushed to want to make any signings if you managed them!

I always start with Spurs for obvious reasons. With FM 14, I don't think I'll need to make any new signings! I'll probably just look at youngsters and make deals for them to join at the end of the season and then loan them out again, players like Will Hughes, George Long, Alen Halilovic would likely be on my shortlist.

I tend to play a 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 formation with a fluid attacking style. Man marking, short passing, roaming from wide positions are usually some of the main tactics I employ.

After I've played a few seasons with Spurs and by then have pretty much won everything, I start a new game with a team in League 1 or 2 and bring them up to the Prem and so on.

After that it's usally the foreign leagues where I tend to drift about after a season or two. My Football Manager 2008 save game was one of the best I can remember. Started at Olympiakos, within 18 months accepted an offer from Getafe, within 12 months accepted an offer from AC Milan, then about 2 years after that Barcelona and once I acclompished European dominancy with them (not like it was hard) I resigned and decided to accept the first offer which came my way regardless of who , and that club was.................... - Burnley! <laugh>

I can play FM for days, really is so addictive it's unreal. It's the only game I really play for long spells, I dabble with a bit of Fifa, the odd shoot 'em up and what not but they caputre my attention for about a week then I get bored. I can play FM all year round, sometimes I even play the older versions just to "re-write" history lol.

I love Footy Manager, I just recently started a save with a new updated database. It's pretty good, we already have Soldado, Paulinho, Chadli and Capoue.

I still can't wait for the new one to come out though.

Google 'fm2013 update by PR0' if you want to use it.
