I was top of the league now second, been really off form but the form is just coming back as I have made many changes.
I have just got Nouble back on loan for three months this time so he will be with me till the end, would be nice to get him for the whole season next time. He scored on his first game back which is good, I had just started to get the goals anyway so it was not that important he come back but he just adds that extra bit to my team. I had to make many changes to my team as I was getting to the point where they were all unfit so I had to use young players, the defence is well young, my team was young already but the team is like a youth team now The defence has a right back who is 17, a left back who is 17 and also a centre back who is 17 and the other centre back is 18, very young for starting 11 but they are doing good, they have helped me to 2 clean sheets in a row. In midfield I have a 17 year old a 18 year old and a 21 year old and up front I have a 21 year old, 20 year old and also a 18 year old who is top scorer. The keeper is 22 and he is the number 1, Even though the team is doing great I will be going back to the first team.
Nearly into the new season, made many changes. Sold many players, had to get rid of the captain who was Lee, Jordan Rhodes and Nelson, but I got 1.6 million from Tottenham for Curtis Nelson and that could rise to 3 million in the future. This has funded my new signings and has allowed me to improve the squad. I have got Baldock from West Ham, Townsend from Tottenham, Keith Watson and Johnny Russell from Dundee Utd, Zaha and Clyne from Crystal Palace, Ben Mee from Man City and loads of others who are young, I have a new Left back who I got for free. I managed to replace Nelson for free with a new player who I hope does good, if he does that is 1.6 million that I am up. I have made a total of 6 million pounds and I have only spent around 2 million so far, the rest I will try not to use. I will keep everyone updated on how things go this season, I hope I can finish around Mid table as that is my target.
Amazingly I am top of League 1, 9 games in won 7, drew 1 and lost only 1 which was the first game. I have also reached the 5th round of the league cup I think it is, I beat Birmingham and then I got West Ham where I was 1-0 down at Upton Park with 5 minutes left where I then got a goal, I think brought on Zaha in the extra time and he got a goal and then someone else got a goal, won 1-3 away at a Premiership West Ham, so happy then I will have Arsenal in the next round./
I am still top but lost against Arsenal in the league cup, got a league 2 Crawley against me in the FA Cup first round./
Only got around 9 games left in my second season still top of league 1 but only 9 points clear, was 12 clear with two games in hand but 1 win in 5 has started to ruin my gap.
Hi Hoadie, glad to see you are still enjoying your game! This reminds me, of the thread PompeyRaichu ran, "Portsmouth, back from the brink" a while back. Whatever happened to him?
He did a week by week report that was about Pompey, but from playing Football manager and what happened on his game. We probably did a lot better than in reality. Speaking of which, hard lines today, the Gills looked good for a shock today. Do you think we can pull a rabbit out of the hat tomorrow?!
