    Hi guys,

    I've just started FM12 in my traditional style, managing Southampton. Anyone else playing with Saints at the moment?

    I've managed to bring in Chris Wood on a season long loan for a nominal fee paying half his wages, looking at a right back at the moment and went for Joe Lewis but they wanted silly money. Won my first friendly 3-1 against Celtic.

    I've had a reasonable start, 4th after 11 games with 21 points (so only one point behind what we had in real life after 11 games).

    Emnes and Whittingham, whilst I've got Mackie and Hulse in on loan from QPR (though Hulse is simply as back-up for Lambert).

    Also got Cortese to make Hooiveld's move permeanant.

    i was top of the league on the demo at the new year so when i get the proper game i will just continue with that one...

    Wanted Alex Smithies but hes out for 5months :mad:

    Got an 18 year old LW from England trials with 3 1/2 star potential and now im lining up Jay Rodreguez and maybe another centre deffender because i dont think i could just cope with Hooiveld and Martin.

    Got an offer accepted for Whittingham but he wanted silly wages and West Brom had already had a bid accepted so I wasn't going to win that one...

    I'm with Saints signed Rodriguez for a bargain 3.4 million (without chairman), also signed Hoiveld on permenanent deal 1.5 mill but poor start in the league 15th after 8 games and couldnt beat the Skates <yikes>

    Are our players hopelessly underrated or does FM buck the trend and actually do some research? The last one I got was FM 10 where Lambert is pants, Lallana is ok and Schneiderlin is an absolute monster.

    Anyone plan on starting an unemployment challenge? I don't like managing Saints as I immediately spot anything slightly unrealistic and it bugs me.

    The ratings are pretty decent this year. Good with some of the youthies having big potential aswell !

    Yeah Shaw, Sinclair and Ward-Prowse are all highly rated.
