Do you think we will go for anyone? We have released Logan so maybe we can afford 1 person in, I wouldn't mind an ambitious bid for Trotta who is not getting any game time for Fulham and has previously stated that he likes the club.

We need a striker with experience not an untried rookie,is this the cheapest option again? Hope he proves me wrong. <whistle>

I agree, surely McClure fills the spot of the young striker in our team, but I am hoping Aisnworth has found a gem here.

A asked for feedback on the Charlton forum - He's fast, he can play either as a CF or RW, he's full of energy and he finished joint top scorer with our very good U18 team last season with about 20 ish.

He's not best played as a target man - that's not his game - but you give him balls over the back four or balls between the back four and he'll score goals.

Plus he'll work his socks off for you all 90

That would be great Mowgli but its not that often good, experienced strikers are available on loan as teams want to keep hold of them. I think we were a little lucky that Paul Hayes was available last year. I don't think it is necessarily Ainsworth going out for the cheapest option he is trying to make the most of the budget he has available, which I imagine is pretty tight as the Trust try to rein in the losses made by the previous owners.

Loan players are often gambles, sometimes they work sometimes they don't but Azeez seems to be making the right noises in terms of attitude and comes across as quite mature for his age.

As for Trotta there was never a chance, he turned down the opportunity to return to us on loan last year because of where we, struggling in league one so he was hardly going to come back to us struggling in league two!
