It makes you look a dick!

Whilst I haven't been cocky, there was a genuine confidence, born out of the summer signings and general perception that each was a step up from last year.

So after yesterday's result, I'm just waiting for those people whom I genuinely enthused to about our squad this season, to put me right in my place.

Why? We all bought the feelgood factor, I said last week I still thought our defence was suspect but I didn't see yesterday's performance coming and, judging by the prediction thread, neither did anyone else. We now know we've still got a lot to improve and are short of a commanding centreback and a proper defensive midfielder if Ale is still has a way to go for full fitness...

One of my mates at work was picking his dream team the other night. I noticed that he had put three Swansea players in his squad... Vorm, Michu and Sinclair.

" You don't want to put them in your team Tom. " I said.

" They haven't beaten QPR at home for ninety odd years, and that won't change on Saturday. "

I then went on to explain how QPR were going to be the surprise package of the season.

" Thanks for that, I'll change it then. " he said.

Not looking forward to going back to work on Wednesday.

Football can indeed make you look a dick.

Ok! In your place then:biggrin: I haven't shared the optimism I read on here and have been saying so the last month. But that we'd be so bad was also unexpected, thought we'd scrape a win against Swansea. Just hope this shocks MH, and if necessary the Board, into getting in some good defensive players.

I predicted 4-2 Rangers in the competition. I'm naturally cautious but also clearly caught up in wave of optimism.

Did say though that acquiring a few new bits to the engine does not an F1 victory make - or words to that effect.

One such is Green (by name... ), my reason for predicting Swans getting 2 goals. Even put him down as o.g.. Nearly right on Swans (less 3 goals - who'd have thought that?). Totally wrong on Rangers ability to find the net.

Didn't predict as would have got shìt for predicting a loss. Frankly with hindsight it was highly possible we would have lost. Thought it would be 1-2 however, certainly not 0-5.
