Good moaning my Leeds United comrades!
If you could change a few things related to football what would they be?

    Here are some of mine:
    1) Robbie Savage, Kevin Kilbane and Alan Shearer thinking they are "pundits" when all they offer is utter drivel.
    2) Garth crooks. Either replace him or tell him to stop being so miserable the whole time.
    3) Sepp Blatter - get him out, just a plethora of reasons why!
    4) I think sin bins and retrospective bans could be a decent idea.
    5) Those incompetent refs who stand by the penalty area, someone tell them to actually do something or just get rid of them.

    Over to you!

The two things I would change would be to introduce a rugby referee's approach to discussing decisions (only the captain can talk to the referee & if anyone argues, a free kick gets moved 10 yards further forward.) Yellow cards mean ten minutes in the sin bin.

    Good shout!
Speaking of rugby perhaps they could introduce a TMO/video system in footy to stop goal's like Tiote's yesterday being chalked off!
There are quite a few things footy could learn from rugby.

Tiote's "goal" yesterday comes down to a judgement call. Was a guy in the 6 yard area who ducked interferring with play? As he wasn't in the goalkeeper's line of sight, probably not. But I dont think a video ref would resolve that problem.

Great shout Boggers. Sick of the abuse football referees have to put up with. The discipline is one area rugby should be admired for and I can't stand the game

Cheers Eire. One other upside of rugby is that none of the fans want to then take on the bar after half a shandy and they all sit together and have a good time supporting their team without coins raining down or being abused or threatened just because they support a different team.

One thing that really annoys me is the sheilding of the ball as it leaves the pitch. Players are downright obstructive to prevent the opposition getting the ball. When I was a boy, we had an 'obstruction' rule in football. I don't remember it ever getting rescinded. I'd love to see it re-emerge to stop this nonsense.

Only stop the game/kick the ball out of play for an OBVIOUS head injury. Too many times a player rolls about feigning injury in order to stop a counter attack by the opposition.

Its about time referees realised that there is a direct link between the rolling around and the seriousness of the injury. The more you roll around, the less serious the injury. You see a player get kicked or knocked and he hits the floor & moves very little, you know that its serious.

Talking of injuries, I thought the physio was only allowed on the park when the player wasn't capable of leaving the park. how many times have you seen play held up for 5 minutes whilst someone gets an elastoplasy on a wee cut on his eyebrow or smething like that? Why aren't they thrown off the field? If I was the ref, I'd only allow the physio on if absolutely necessary. It's a waste of time & a cynical tactic at times.

We tend to go to games instead of watching on tele.
In fact we have a song about it.

If you're watching on the tele

Booking players taking their shirts off for celebrating - room 101.
Get rid of those incompetent refs by the penalty area, they never do anything! - room 101.

I completely disagree with sin bins in football. I understand they work well in Rugby and other sports but not in football, I don't think their is a huge problem with player's discipline or not enough to change the rules to accommodate it.

My main problem in the game is soft red cards, I think that refs should only really give red cards for two yellow card offences and when they believe it is unsafe for that player to continue on the pitch because of the danger towards the other players.

I also think we should seriously look into diving. I think a referee should never give a diver a yellow card on the pitch, he shouldn't have to make that call because its almost impossible to get it right every time. He should decide there and then whether it is a free kick/penalty but not whether the player is diving. I think then after the game incidents should be further analysed and then given a much harsher punishment (e.g. 5 game ban for a dive). I think that this will quickly take diving out of the game imo.

I agree with this, they should be encouraged to leave the pitch while play continues to receive their treatment

I don't agree with this, its called using your body to protect the ball. That'd be a very soft foul, the player without possession of the ball (ie. the player that is being protected from the ball) SHOULD have to work hard to get the ball back.
