He mentioned Kuyt... Now hopefully MoN has realised the flaw in the SAFC side....it's the forwards upmost... Now if he rectifies this and goes and buys two forwards in the summer (insert your own names as a guess, cos we ain't got a clue) what then? i.e we keep hold of Sess and don't see to many additions, what could be the team line-up. Does Sess drop into c/m, do we push him onto one of the wings, if so which one...both Seb and Mc have done well. Anyone see what i'm getting at? how do you keep them all happy.
Sessegnon is a playmaker and would be given a free role in my team to just go out and cause havoc in oppostion defences. He can contribute with 10 goals a season from midfield but 2 strikers are a priority for me. Right back cover, Bridge, 2 strikers are my wish list. In Colback, Catts and Meyler we have 3 tough tackling ball winners and Richardson can play as cover for left back but more importantly as cover for McClean and Sessegnon oin a free midfield role. Gordon and Mig will fight it out for the keepers place. So yes, up front is and has been a priority for over 12 months.
i really dont know where he is going to play sess AND HE MUST PLAY we need to play most games i think with two strikers and two central midfielders one to brake up the play and one to produce maybe that will be SESS i am peased we have MON to make those decisions
from what cest has said a free role for sess and we would loose a tight central midfielder thats why mon decides on the team on the day
A hard call Comm, but as has been said forwards with flair badly required, woul love a born again SuperKev.
I think keeping Sess is the first priority. We have the core of a really good squad, and have for a while, we just needed the right man to motivate and organise it and get them playing the right way. If we can get a quality goal scorer we will be hopefully picking up next season in form like we have been since O'Neill has taken over. I think it’s just a shame that the last transfer window came a bit quick in terms of O'Neill was still accessing the players we had and had o time to look for targets. I fell that the next window will be huge for us and if O'Neill can weave some magic in the transfer department and keep most of the current squad it will be a great season for us next time round.
I agree but you have to take out a position to give him a free role and that should be the 2nd striker. I would love to see us go for a striker and an attacking right winger/striker. Then maybe move Larson to the middle, I think you have to play Larson or Gardner because they are lethal from set pieces. ....................Migg.............................. Bardo....OShea..Brown....Ricco/Bridge ..............Catts...Larson..................... ?????????......Sess...........McClean..... ...................??????........................... You get the idea of the above. I can see 1 or 2 leaving in the summer as the 5 of Catts, Gardner, Vaughan, Colback & Meyler don't go into 2. Then remember we still have Riveros on our books too.
Alot of teams are playing this system and im growing to like it. It also suits us with our lack of strikers. Don't think Bendtner will be back so our priority will be signing a striker who can lead the line and grab goals.....or Gyan???
Bill its a hard call for me as well, as i could pierce cardboard at the moment with this daemon thing,
