Three years ago today Martin Jol signed Scott Parker.

    At the time Jol said,

"I'm delighted that Scott has joined us," Jol said. "He's a midfielder who works tirelessly for his team and is a fantastic player both on and off the ball. It is wonderful to see a player of his stature playing for Fulham Football Club as he has shown his qualities in the Premier League and for the England team for many years. I'm happy that he's here and joins us for training ahead of our first home match of the season."

Five managers later, Scotty is going stronger than ever.

Incidentally he didn't feature in that first match, a 1-0 win away to Sunderland thanks to a Pajtim Kasami header at the far post from Damien Duff's corner - Fulham's first effort on target. The team that day was:

Stekelenburg (Stockdale - 76' ), Reither, Hangeland, Hughes, Richardson (Briggs - 20'), Sidwell, Duff, Taarabt, Boateng (Karagounis - 65' ), Kasami and Berbatov

Subs not used: Senderos, Ruiz, Rodallega and Bent
