I'm not sure 'Bully Boy' is an appropriate monicker for the lad, Igor. If anything he was the subject of a number of us ganging up on him on here. I believe he had enough and left, which is a shame as I'm interested in his opinion on the latest signings.
Picked up his ball and ****ed off... not sure why I think he tired of the abuse, still i think we all know what he would of said about most things... if nothing else he was consistent. I found so long as the subject was SWP i agreed with him entirely.
Bully Boy is my nickname to him because of the Philadelphia Flyers ( their nickname during their glory years was "Broadstreet Bullies") Shame if he have left for good because we need his opinions here. We all should not have only rosetinted opinions here.....Many time he did have a point in his posts too. Having met him once i also think he is a very friendly and likeable lad. Hope he comes back.
Sorry Lads as said earlier, Flyer has gone. He has cancelled his account and gone, maybe to another board, maybe not...I do not actually know There was some personal abuse and threats, nasty threats from one particular poster, and he had enough and left, he didn't think enough was done and he left He sent me a PM before he left explaining this, and I have a text from him oo, after I told him that he was missed here...I can still contact him, and will also look him out at a few home matches, as I know where he might be. I feel it is a real shame, that he felt that way. I of course, would be the first to admit, he always seemed to see the downside, the Eeyore of the board....but he was a real R through and through ...and knew more about footy than most of us on here....But his criticism was based on the fact he want the RRRs to be the best. His round trip from the Southcoast to HQ was a marathon in itself...which I know he will still be doing If anyone does want to contact him (?Igor?) might be able to fix it
A really shame if it so... There is no needs to threat anybody for someones opinions here. Beth maybe i could send to you my e-mail in private post so you can ask him to contact me sometimes?
He did take everything thrown at him so stoicly that I suppose it was difficult to tell he'd had enough. Personally, I liked him as a poster and I think behind that was a very thoughtful and funny guy (and no less opinionated). He also gave a lot of time to this board so will leave a gap. It's such a shame.
I'm sure Flyer will still look in as a "guest".....maybe he will feel the urge to re-join once the season starts after all we all want the same thing at the end of the day and we need our resident realist in place to counter balance the optimism.........
I too liked Flyer and miss his input on our forum. I was looking forward to seeing which of our new signings were going to be put on his updated out list. The one thing that needs to be dealt with here is the cyber bullying. If our Flyer was getting nasty threats from some keyboard warrior pussycat then this does indeed need sorting in my eyes. If it was one of our own then shame on you.
Yeh right ................... positive comments my ass. Flyer, for whatever you may think, was ............. is, an integral member of this forum. Let me assure you that seldom do I agree with his comments but as a regular / daily contributor, he is without doubt a valuable member of our forum. Why is that so?????????????? Because we all have different views on what is happening with our team but make no mistake, he loves over team, the one you and I feel the same way about. We can't always think alike and if we did, it would be boring so regardless of what 'Flyer' thinks, I do value his input. Have a good break old mate and see you back for the new season. That is a shame. I had many difference of opinions with him but never doubted he cared about QPR. I assumed he was on holiday.
