I've noticed many people becoming increasingly frustrated with Flyer and the incessant negativity of his posting. I think its time we had a debate about him. The way I see it, Flyer is out of control. He hijacks every thread and pedals the same line time and time again and its beginning to wear people down. There's only so much of the same opinion people can hear over and over and when it moves from weeks into months with no sign of any let up, I think we have a problem. Now I'd never call for the banning of any man, no matter what they say and how many times they say it but its got to the stage where something's got to give. He's on this site morning, noon and night repeating the same mantra over and over. I mean its bloody relentless. I'm not a Doctor so this is by no means a definitive diagnosis but from my experience in the field of Mental Health, this individual displays many of the symptoms of Asperger's Syndrome. Its often been remarked that he's "like a dog with a bone" but I think it runs deeper than that. There's something seriously amiss with this person and we've got to address his contributions on here one way or another. I've been put on Gardening leave a few times during this past three years for wrecking people's heads and rightly so. Has the time come for Flyer - for his own benefit - to be given a cooling off period so he can attend to whatever is making him behave in such an obsessive and destructive manner on this Board? I'm just looking for and honest and rational discussion here because at the end of the day, this is not just about the Forum, its about the health and well-being of one of our members. Your thoughts please Gentlemen (and Betty).
I have noticed that Mr Flyer gets on a few peoples nerves on here. I have absolutely no problem with him and he often makes some very valid points. Anyone who supports QPR is a brother or sister of mine. If someone gets on your t*ts then avoid there thread or ignore there comments. We are all entitled to our opinions and we are QPR!
Believe you are in breach of the forum rules swords with this thread. The rules state clearly that the singling out of posters is not allowed. This will only end in tears, the mods will close it down. What's the point?
If we all had the same opinion it would be boring!! Maybe that's Harry's ideology for picking the team ?
As I said above Norway, I think its a discussion that needs to be had. There must have been 20 threads titled "Swords" down the years, the most recent one only a couple of months ago, and they all ran their course with no censure and no-one banned. This one shouldn't be treated any differently.
Starting a thread calling for a ban for someone because you disagree with them. Not hard to work out why you've been on gardening leave before is it?
Hold on there Tonto. Back up a bit. I didn't call for a ban for anyone. Read it again. I simply asked what other people thought about this situation and could we have an honest and rational discussion. Just looking for people's views and opinions that's all. As I said in the OP, I've noticed a lot of people lose the rag with Flyer lately and I can see why. The guy is not behaving normally here. Anyone can see that. All I'm asking is if there's anything that we can do or will it just run its course, nothing else.
Let it go swords. Things like these tend to sort themselves out. We're all grown ups on here perfectly able to make our own minds up. If certain characters wants to keep beating the same drum to death they only end up as a parody of themself.
I wouldn't want Flyer banned - I just wish he would cheer the hell up a bit. We're in the playoffs, for pity's sake. Relegation I could understand. Mid table obscurity I could kinda agree. But fourth? Makes no sense.
This site has a wonderful facility called the ' Ignore' button. I suggest you use it. The same goes for anyone else who has a problem with 'Flyer's' posts. Just stick him on 'Ignore' if you have a problem with him. Flyer hasn't broken any rules. He may be somewhat repetitive in what he says but he takes a lot more **** for his convictions than most, and he handles it pretty well. He's a tough lad who can look after himself, I've never had a complaint from him and have never received one against him. Regardless of his opinions on the 'R's, he is entitled to them as much as you are. There is no right or wrong, it is only your perception that will deem this correct one way or the other. TBH Mods, he has got a point. there have been countless threads over the past couple of seasons all entitled swords and all have run thier course. In the intrest of fairness i dont think the flyer thread should have been closed down as quick as it really wasnt anything that hasnt been posted about myself, DT, Swords or others BUT..as ive always said, its your board to run so rub as you see fit. i certainly not going to PM or complain about it. Just my personal opinion and i dont expect everyone / anyone to agree.
There is a thread on Flyer, there is a thread on Swords.....do we ALL need our own threads? Oslo, Nines, Footspa, Superthicker...etc etc..etc
