Would you be asking this if his excellent effort, only stopped by a brilliant save had gone in? :p

We have to sell one of our so called forwards. We need to buy one who can put the ball in the net, at the moment we have 3 that can't. You sell who you can for what you can and reinvest that in someone who might just score the goals that they are'n't, I don't think that we are in a position to hold out for what we think is a good offer, if we do that we will end up with a strike force that we think are worth money but can't cut the mustard. Free up the space in the line up, free up the wages and sell, sell, sell....then buy, buy, buy.

As long as we don't sell before we have a replacement lined up.

He can't adapt to the one up front role, he is not physical enough, he as I have said before is really a fox in the box type of striker, and at present we cant afford to play one, with so much emphasis on midfield protecting our back four.

we can't sell unless we've got another striker in, over the line , holding up the shirt etc.,
otherwise we'll look stupid and be in even bigger trouble up front if one of the other strikers gets crocked.

Also in his defence he has just returned from a long lay off and maybe it will come good for him (and us) once he's fully up to speed and gets a couple of goals.

If thats the case, he needs bedding in slowly. Wickham (on merit from last season) should be getting played down the middle until someone takes the place off him. Giachy or Buckley need to be put on the left wing.

It never ends well when your trying to accomodate players by putting them out of position.

We really should go for Rhodes, he will end up in the Prem, scoring goals, and many of us will say we should have signed him.

Natural a goalscorer as I've seen.

We were in Durham, doing some work at the University, and needed a coffee on our way to Sacriston.

I like Pity Me, decent place with decent people ....... plus I know what the name means <ok>

I've been thinking along the same lines...I think it is time to put Wickham back in the middle and see what we can get for Fletcher in this window..
