I've seena few slate him a bit and I don't get it. Grafted like **** and kept them occupied, few loose touches as standard but then won penalty and got a goal, which was very well taken.

Massive thumbs up from me today like.

It's a fact that he always plays well against the mags. He's now either playing for a new contract with us or he's putting himself in the shop window!

His beard is not the problem. his talent is not the problem, its his application week in week out that is, same with our other matchwinner today AJ, both have let this club down big time, so talented but so far neither have lived up to their billing its why we are where we are, mind you they are not alone. Big Sam will sort it. <cheers>

He did alright to day, work rate wise it's the bare minimum and I'm not going to big the lazy **** up for pulling his weight for once. Fantastic goal but I'm not going to say he was good. He wasn't, It was a poor game, poor performance and nobody really stood out.

I expect to see better from Fletch this season only for the reason is because of new manager and a contract to play for. He'll never be paid more than he's getting paid with us after all. My memory isn't short, he's been ****e 75% of time he's been with us and the Bardo trick of turning up in the last year off the contract just isn't going to wash with me. He's had years to prove his worth. Burnt those bridges with me a long time ago. Hope he plays well this season then pisses off away from our wage bill.

One swallow doesn't make a summer. Likewise today.

I'm not a fan. Chuffed as **** today and kudos to the lad!

But I need to see that attitude every week before I'm screaming at Big Sam to extend his contract.

    Well, most of them anyway.

For me, Pants is a keeper (oh, well, you know what I mean), as is Lens, M'Vila, Borini (only because we've just bought him), Watmore, Pickford.

Got to be honest, moving on, I wouldn't be shedding any tears if any move on in the next window.

Apologies if that puts a downer on the day, it's just where this thread led me.

I need to see a replay of the whole game.

I feel ill and lost a day at work.

Sixteen hours on the piss is not a good idea. Its not big and its not clever.

    Ahh me head.

As we all know, Fletcher is fond of his little backheels, spins, flicks and fancy passes which rarely if ever work. Also as we all know, Allardyce is a stats guy who will play to the percentages (which if you ask me is what we've been desperate for) and I'm wondering if we might see an improvement in Fletcher in that he'll get a bollocking every time he loses the ball when he tries yet another Cruyff turn when he should just hold it up.

I'm hoping that under Sam we'll see a back to basics Fletcher. After all he's a good finisher and very good in the air so if Sam can flatly inform him that he isn't Messi's long lost brother, stop all the fancy dithering, and either hold the ball up or get in the box to stick his nut on it then we might see a big improvement.

I think these flicks and tricks are just to make him look like he is trying when in fact they are just a ploy to evade any real graft.. I would like to see him making runs across defenders in the box now and again, instead of peeling off hoping the defender misses the cross,( which they rarely do) and scoring with a tap in. He used to attack the ball in the past and his record was good, so it would be great to see the real SF even if its just to the end of the season when he will no doubt move back to Scotland a very rich man thanks to Sunderland, he wont be the first to do that will he CG . On a brighter note I would like to mention YK who so many critics slate, I thought he had a great game, and his unselfish contribution to our third goal was outstanding, putting a shift in is what its all about.
