Also if I am at the match I will write my report after the match giving my view on the players, join in the chat and have fun. This is my re-post of the match day thread, sadly I did not have a back up so I have had to redo this and I have forgot a lot of what I wrote on thsi first time round sadly so it may be lacking in detail. Past meetings This one is a game that we can have a new piece of history as Fleetwood Town and Gillingham have only met once and that was at Priestfield so this is the first time we have visited their ground Highbury also we have never won against them but we have also never lost against them as the last meeting was a draw. 15 Dec 2012 Gillingham v Fleetwood Town D 2-2 League Two Fleetwood don't have great form and have only won 3 out of 10 which is very poor considering they are trying to get in the play offs so we should be going for this to win for the first time against Fleetwood Town. I think that we could win this as Fleetwood are not a great side and even though at the start of the season people thought they would win the league I was not one of them as I thought they would be mid table or maybe make the play offs so that is where they are as I did not think they would be a repeat of Stevenage and Crawley as they are not as good as them and they have shown that but they should be proud of where they are. However this is a chance for us to win and put ourselves even closer to promotion with another win. Current league table As of 28.03.13 Gillingham sit top of League 2 after 40 games with 75 points, 8 points clear of Port Vale who sit in second who have played 39 games and have 67 points. Fleetwood Town are 8th in the league after 40 games with 58 points who are 3 points behind 7th place Rotherham who are in the play off places but they have only played 38 game so they have played less than Fleetwood Town so that means that they will be hard to catch. HOADIEâS View on this match I think this will be very tough, my head it telling me that we will draw however my heart says that we will win, should I go with the head and go for 1-1 or is it the heart and do I go for 1-2 to the Gills, I am thinking of going with the heart as I believe that we can win this if we go all out and try hard to bring back 3 points to Kent and what a position we could be in if we do win this one as that would be brilliant, 78 points with 5 games to go so that would mean that if we were to collect 3 points on Monday then we would be over 80 points with 4 games to go. The score line and scorers I think that the score will be Fleetwood Town 1-2 Gillingham with Jon Parkin getting the goal for Fleetwood Town and Joe Martin and Danny Kedwell scoring for the Gills.

I am hoping that we will not go with Burton and Kedwell, it has to be one or the other in my opinion. I am hoping that the team will be this; Nelson Fish Legge Barrett Martin Gregory Whelpdale Robinson Lee Kedwell Weston I think that Robinson needs to play as he is really important also I would rather see Weston up front than Burton and also I think that it would be good for Lee to be back in the team and if Dack is back he should be on the bench and introduced in the second half so that he is getting back to fitness with a view of starting him next week in either the Rotherham game which may be a bit early or the Torquay match.
With Fleetwood going all out for a win to get back in the play off hunt Gills may just benefit from some over anxious pressing. Weston, Kedwell and Burton would be ideal starters to exploit this and just hope we get one more than them!

In my opinion Martin Allen sees his best two strikers as kedwell and burton as he started them two at Rotherham and at home port vale , both big games so on Monday and today I would expect them to start but I will probably be completely wrong
Two changes Davies in for Gregory and Birchall in for Burton, good changes in my opinion, it is nice to see Kedwell and Birchall together, and also Davies playing for the first time in ages.

Final score Fleetwood Town 2-2 Gillingham (Kedwell, Allen- Matt, Matt) I did say that I had a feeling it would be a draw but I had to go with a win. We are 6 points clear at the top with Port Vale behind us but we have played one more than them as well as Northampton in third so they are yet to play however good news it Burton and Exeter lost today.
no such thing as a bad away point so happy with the result, special mention to the cod army fans they were a great bunch, me and 3 others stayed in their bar for nearly three hours with them after the game and they were fun and friendly i really hope to go there again
