I have never been to Fleetwood.... or even Blackpool! As I currently have my niece staying with me, I can leave her to look after the dog so was considering a visit to a ground I have never been to... Fleetwood... Jezus that is a difficult place to get to!... may consider the Valley coach at £28 Anyone been there or going? AllHell
I went there last year & can confirm it is a bastard of a journey. Train to Preston and change for Blackpool. Walk down to the sea front and catch a tram to Fleetwood. Unfortunately the tram stops so often that it takes a good hour from Blackpool to Fleetwood. On the way back I got a cab straight from Fleetwood to Preston - it cost about £30 from memory, but saved a lot of time. The ground itself is desperate and it's one of those trips you make just the once.
Blackpool needs a bomb dropped on it and van Gerwen was sensible with getting a taxi. For a day out Fleetwood is alright, nice little ground and a decent drink to be had.
Bump Match day thread Rent A Mouth Robbo takes his low flying Addicks to Fleetwood tomorrow, a venue so Northern and bleak it makes Oldham look like Kings Road Chelsea. I can’t see us taking 400 tomorrow - thoughts? On the playing side, it is going to be a long & abusive 2 weeks for Robbo if we lose tomorrow - and that’s just from Reams on ITTV. Talking of which, surely Charlton”s North West Correspondent will be attending tomorrow A full moon is predicted, & Fleetwood is barely 30m from Wrexham. Looking forward to reading the first hand report “O.R”
Despite our good run (2 games undefeated), I can't see us taking anything from this one. Pearce has been holding our shaky defense together, but with him injured, and Solly playing his 3rd game in a week, not to mention Kashi being knackered, our defense will take a pounding, and will succumb. 4-2 to Fleetwood.
Uwe Rosler is a very good manager, I remember him getting caned when he had his ding dong with Peeters. Taffy was not at Fleetwood last season, he must have been working.
Judging by the video of the players training I can see Billy Clarke but no Kashi or Solly. Team if that is the case Amos Dijksteel Baeur Konsa Da Silva Aribo, Forster- Caskey Holmes Clarke Fosu Magennis Subs Phillips, Sarr, Jackson, Reeves, Marshall, Ahearne- Grant, Dodoo
I now have seven family members staying over the weekend.... one being my 18 month Godson.... so I ain't going to Blackpool!
Likely line up for today? Amos Dkiksteel Konsa Bauer Da Silva F-Caskey Kashi Holmes Fosu Clarke Magennis Hard to see Robinson changing his preferred line up and formation until he goes down to 6 fit players.
Karlan Ahearne-Grant not in the squad today but Ben Reeves and Mark Marshall are on the bench. I'm going for another 2-2
It was clear Solly needed a rest, he has been overplayed, hopefully no damage has been done to his knee, which KR said was fine 2 weeks ago. Keeping players fresh does not seem to beKR's strong point.
Sounds like a great win. Well done to the team, especially Fosu, and the 400 fans we took up there today
