    Oh God!!! shoot me now....

    Flavio Briatore also known as Flab could be readying to return back into The racing scene. Not as a team owner or even team manager. No, he is writing regulations for a 'GP1' championship. This incase the 2013 concorde agreement falls through.

    <doh>

    Obviously as a friend of Bernie Ecclestone who owns the GP2 and GP3 championships this is a sneeky backup plan. What would teams be thinking?
    'Oh I dont like your ideas in F1 anymore Bernie so we are leaving to join that Mr Ecclestones GP1 series!'

    <doh>

    Aparently this is all over a spat with the FIA (who by the way will be licencing GP1) about Budget Caps which you would think is not a bad idea in these current economic climates.

    Budget caps, Pirelli's, Equality = F1

    Unlimited budget, Bullet proof tyres, Flavio making the rules up = GP1

    I think I know which one I'm watching ;)

    Anybody find it ironic the rules are being made up by a convicted cheat?

    Not only that, moreover he is actually an Italian convicted criminal, can't get much worse than that,

    Briatore has always been seen by the F1 teams as an undesirable in the pit lane, more of a buffoon, he never gained the confidence of the team owners so any worthwhile breakaway F1 series would not include Fatso.

    Now now. Roman Grosjean proved definitively that it was very easy to crash at that corner, and that Flavio was simply an innocent bystander. ;)

    Well, it was a serious crime, it involved massive fraud and someone died, so he's not a nice guy.

    And he never served his time in prison, he fled the country and managed to stay away long enough, that when he returned the sentence was no longer valid.

    "Cheat" is a polite word for him.
