Leeds 15th Nov - I'll be going to that one. Great ground to go and watch football, cracking atmosphere.
Fulham first game and away. If away was hoping for someone in Yorkshire/Lancashire area as would have been good for away day.
Even worse on one level with TV still dictating what happens. I know some will make a weekend of it but what about getting home after the match people?
Damn both home and away to Reading are midweek. That sucks for both sets of fans with 600 mile round trips. Plus I was hoping to get to both games to have a weekend of beers with Albert & co. Grrr.
You look at September (Derby, QPR, Wolves, Villa and Norwich) and think "that's like a Premiership set of games" and then at October (Rotherham, Brentford, Barnsley, Ipswich, Preston) and remember where we now are. Going to be a tough season, September is massive as at least a couple of those teams are going to right up there at the end of the season.
Leeds,Brentford and sheff wed def away games for me..... Plus good old sheff wed at home boxing day proper Christmas fixture Also s game new years eve at home...interesting.
Got to agree I'm not positive about the start. Was hoping for some really nice fixtures to get us going, it is going to matter how well we are doing early doors as up until the end of August we need to convince players to stay and/or players to join us and that's going to be much easier if we're in the top handful of teams. Tricky to say "we're going straight back up" when i could see us being second favorites in 3 of our first 7.
Was looking out for away match at Ipswich as that will be the only one I get to .. can't believe its not only on Easter Monday but it's also my birthday Easter eggs, presents and (hopefully) three points, what more could I wish for?
away at Fulham?! did you see where they finished last season, I don't think we could hav easked for a better opening fixture, anything other than 3 points from that will be a major let down. Would be a very weak set of Premiership games from teams who would be certain relegation candidates - Derby and Norwich will be tough, but QPR and Wolves are just mid-table championship sides these days, and who knows what's going on with Villa. Last time we were in the championship there was the like of Sheff Utd, Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough, West Brom and Leicester, who were at least as much of a challenge, if not more so, than the teams mentioned above.
