Amazingly, the fixture list comes out on Friday and the excitement begins again. No guesses as to which game the NE footy fans will be looking towards?

Is it just me or do the close seasons these days seem to be getting shorter and shorter? Its barely 4 weeks this weekend since the last game and then only 4 and a bit weeks to the pre-season games after that.

I can feel the stomach starting to get butterflies already.

Argus should do a thread where you guess the first 4 games of the season and the last game. Hope we are at home, get some points on the board but I have a terrible feeling it will be away too city

Swansea h, Norwich a, Wolves h, QPR a. That would be who i would like, but might be
Chelsea a Man u h, Arsenal a, Liverpool h, .

I hear people saying they want the mags or a promoted side first game but they would be the worst games we could possibly have to start! The promoted sides will be buzzing and the mags game has to be embedded somewhere in the season so all of our and their players are fit and prepared.

I'd love to see Villa (h) first. Three guesses why.....

You want too play them before they lose their best players?

Aye ... Villa home, sell out crowd, new faces in the team, excitement, optimism, passion, noise and a certain Mr B£nt.

To quote a famous Geordie ...

"I tell ya .... honestly .... I will luv it if we beat them! Luv it!!" <grr>
