At midday today, the league fixtures will be released.

At 2:30pm today, the draw for the Mickey Mouse Cup will be made. We know we already have Plymouth and Cheltenham in our group but we still have to find out out which Premier League youth team will join us in our group.

At 4:30pm today, the 1st round of the Carabao Cup will be drawn.

Sorry guys cannot get remotely interested in the Mickey Mouse cup after they brought in the premier Under 21s, if we go out early we can concentrate on the league or the main cups

Home first game of the season vs Harrogate. Good start for us and DC to build momentum early on I think. But then 5 potentially tough league games follow with Fleetwood and Chesterfield away then Oldham who will be on a high after securing promotion from the Conference. Then Cambridge who will be like us trying to bounce back to L1 followed by away at Grimsby which is always a tough game for us.

If we can come away with 10-12 points from that start, I'll be happy.

September looks good. October is a tough start facing play offs finalists Walsall and early league favourites MK Dons. These 2 games would give us a good indication where we are. November and December look ok with a couple of tricky games vs Gillingham, Notts County and Swindon (Ollies team) but they are all home games which should give us some advantage hopefully.

2 home games between xmas and new year is great including Boxing day!

11 games in January and February where 5/6 should be tough games.

March and April look great to me, just a couple of potential difficult games but plenty of points we should be picking up.

Very difficult last game away to Notts County. Hopefully that game won't actually matter though.

No idea how we're going to get on this season, could be amazing, could be a nightmare or somewhere in-between.

We have three "local" derbies this season - Swindon, Newport and Cheltenham - we have to wait until December for the first home derby v Swindon.

As you say, I think we'll have an idea of how things will pan out by October. Finger's crossed!

Regarding league fixtures, we have 10 midweek fixtures which includes Xmas, new years and Easter dates. 5 are at home (Oldham, Bromley, Barnet, Shrewsbury and Fleetwood) and 5 are away (Barnet, Shrewsbury, MK Dons, Oldham and Harrogate).
