Fixture change

Our next home game in 2 weeks time vs Braintree will need to be re-arranged. Today they won in their FA Trophy game meaning their next round game will be played at the weekend that we are suppose to face them.

This means after next weeks game away at Woking, we have another 2 week gap until the following game! With so many games around xmas/new year its a bit of a farce that twice within a month that we have a 2 week gap without a game!! I hope we organise some friendly games to keep up match fitness!!!

Also this means our next home game is now not until 7th Feb which is against Lincoln who last week stuffed Barnet! Unless the re-arranged game is organised in a midweek prior to 7th Feb.

 

Also Woking drew today in the FA Trophy. That means they have their replay this Tuesday. Hopefully they are tired when they face us. By the time we face them, they would have played twice since we last played ourselves.

 

The gap's a bit weired. Wouldn't happen in the league.

Also there could be more games that need re-arranging.

We face 2 further teams other than Braintree, who are still in the FA Trophy and will be due to play them on the day that the future rounds are due to be played.

Rovers Vs Braintree - 24th Jan - POSTPONED as Braintree in the FA Trophy.

Rovers Vs Altrincham - 21st Feb - COULD be postponed IF Altrincham is still in the FA Trophy at this stage.

Gateshead Vs Rovers - 28th Feb - COULD be postponed IF Gateshead is still in the FA Trophy at this stage.

So if the last 2 games are postponed, we would play on 14th Feb away at Grimsby then the next game wont be until 7th March home to Eastleigh. 3 weeks without a game

This may benefit Barnet though. They win and push further away and other clubs will overtake us and pressure will be on us to win our games in hand!!

 

Yep, I don't like that one bit, I'd much rather have the points on the board than games in hand. Hopefully, we can rearrange a home game for midweek.

There must be scope for fitting some of these games in at another time. Rubbish organisation if you ask me and it won't help us one bit.
