Five of Newcastle United's Barclays Premier League fixtures in December have been chosen for live broadcast.
Sky Sports have chosen to show the Tyne-Wear derby at St. James' Park as well as United's trip to Arsenal and a festive home fixture with Everton.

BT Sport have selected two matches - the Magpies' Boxing Day clash at Manchester United, and a home game against current top flight leaders Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho's Blues come to Tyneside on Saturday, 6th December, with the match now kicking-off at 12.45pm.
The following weekend, Newcastle travel to the capital to play Arsenal, and while the fixture remains on Saturday, 13th December, it will now kick-off at 5.30pm.
Next up for United is the Tyne-Wear derby against local rivals Sunderland, which has been put back a day to Sunday, 21st December, and will start at 1.30pm, with Magpies fans hoping for an early Christmas present in the shape of three points.
Boxing Day sees Alan Pardew's side travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United, and after picking up an historic 1-0 win there last season, it will be essential viewing again this year, and kick-off is 3pm.
Finally, Newcastle complete the calendar year with a home clash against Everton. It remains on Sunday, 28th December, but will be broadcast live at 4.15pm.

This will be exactly what they wanted. 'let's show the Geordies getting hammered and then we can laugh at the bedsheet brigade again'.... twats. At least they have recognised the derby as worthy of TV this time...

So true. We've barely had any live games on in the first lot and now we seem to be on every week in December. The media love us when we're struggling.

Northumbria Police will be pleased that the Mackem match has been moved to the Sunday, so its no longer on the Saturday after 'Black Eye Friday'. That's probably better for all concerned.

I don't intend spoiling Boxing Day, watching Pardews successor getting whipped at Man U.

You sure it's not a mix-up with the Christmas TV movie schedule of:

    The Alamo
    Zulu
    Zulu Dawn
    A Bridge Too Far
    Spartacus

I can see it would be an easy mistake to make, linking NUFC matches to those movies.
