    Welcome Scott. :emoticon-0150-hands

January signing ? .... Lambert of Southampton. At least it would stop him scoring for them <laugh>

Hey mate <ok>. Hope you enjoy it on here. I'd definitely sign Pugh and Keogh, and I'd probably also want a CB, a RB and a proper winger to replace Gradel (someone like Albert Adomah or Keith Treacy).

Also like Pugh and Keogh. Still unsure on O'Dea... Would like a captain mould CB and also a RB signed.

Also anyone know when Somma is due back?

I think Somma is out until around the end of January, I have that somewhere in my head but could be wrong.

Personally i would definitely be signing Keogh, I wouldnt be signing Pugh, i think we can get better in his mould of player even for that sorta price although i understand it to already have been done. I still think we need a LB though, Im not as desperate as most to be bringing in a CB, I think Kissa and Lees can form a good partnership but we dont have anyone in there place if they get injureed/suspended, I would definitely send O'Dear back though. We also need to be looking at a second choice keeper, whether that be Maik Taylor or we use Cairns but its something that we need to look at.

If only we'd done all this in the summer?

Anyway welcome to the board Scott

Think the Pugh-White partnership works well, also brings a good balance to the team, adds experience etc... Ability is questionnable though.
Kisnorbo... Love him as a chap, helping Austin showed what a top man and pro he is. Sadly think he's abit too slow now, but good to have as cover.
Somma will be a massive boost!

    Anyone going Barnsley saturday?

I think the Pugh/White partnership works well because of Pugh, If we had a LB who could defend a bit better but wasn't as good going forward, we could then have a more capable LM i feel. I think white struggles a bit with his defensive duties to be honest and Pugh has made him look a bit better than he is.

Kisnorbo, I feel is getting back into the swing of things, against Leicester he was very good and he was the only defender to come out with any credit against Burnley. I reckon he could do well alongside a younger, quicker CB in the shape of Tom Lees. I didnt realise Kissa was a Physio though lol, the way he was helping Austin and then i think he helped Howson when he went down and another Burnley player, haha, what a guy.

    Welcome Scott! :)

    Alex McCarthy (GK)
    Eric Lichaj (RB/LB)
    David Templeton (LW)
And a centre-back, but not sure who. Someone to give the side some backbone and expertise.

Yes - he can be handy across midfield and at fullback. Would like to see him alongside Clayton in centre mid with Howson in front of them. With the amount of money the club makes, 500k shouldn't be a big deal. We made a 3m profit last season alone so we should be able to make three or four transfers if needs be.

If we have to. I don't think he's the promotion-class Gradel replacement winger we should be looking at, but he's always there I suppose like a weird friend you can turn to when the popular kids ditch you. And judging by our summer transfer attempts, that's probably how it'll go.

Enjoy your time on here and if you need any help, just send me or bucks_is_leeds a PM. :D

Still think we should persist with Pugh. He's dependable and adaptable, so a good squad addition. I'd like SG to try Pugh at LB and set White loose on the wing to see what he can do. Perhaps even interchange them during a match, perhaps?

    Thoughts?

This issue i have with us spending 500k on Pugh is that i see him as a dependable squad utility player rather than a player who can gain us promotion. Thats who i think we should be looking at, not squad players, we need to improve the squad more in january than danny pugh

    Welcome on board mate <ok>

knowing our spending record I think we will take Pugh & Grayson will bang on about that as a big prem signing, we will take Keogh on as well (if the price is right) & I hope we at least sign another CB. After all we have AOB's wages to throw at someone decent. I also expect to see the ageing Taylor coming in as cover between the sticks as he its a cheaper option than McCarthy who I think has a great future ahead of him.

Also on AOB, I would loan him to a L1 club or an SPL club. He wants to go to west ham & I would make it as hard as possible for the weasel.

Welcome to the dark side Scott.

    Pugh is not worth 500k
    Would buy Lichaj for 300k
Would like to see a decent centre back, early twenties, quick, and 6'4

Can't we technically keep him and refuse to pay him every time he refuses to play a game? That way we'd force him to see out his contract and deny him the money he's supposed to earn as long as he keeps being a baby. When he starts to be a man again, loan him to some ****ters like you say. <ok>
