    Working on the premise that the takeover does go through and regardless as to whether it is now or in the summer and also regardless as to whether we finish the season or not.

    Who would be your first signing? Would you build slow or would you pile in? Would it be a “marque” signing or a “development” signing building brick on brick?

    For me I would make a “statement of intent” signing and would buy Coutinho. Then play him with Maxi and Miggy and then look to get a striker and a DCM player. The first one though would be Coutinho. Who would your’s be?

    Striker for definite for me, a statement of intent for sure. Coutinho would be immense.

    I would do Coutinho. I would buy Grealish to sit in behind him. I would take that Serbian striker from Madrid we are linked with and try him up top.

    Then all we need is a dm. Who that is I have no idea. I think defensively we are pretty well covered for now.

    Dubby is fine.

    Definitely a CF of proper quality. To do that though I think we will have to put up elsewhere to demonstrate the required ambition. CF, CM and tie down a LB. I'd like Jovic if we.coukd make it happen. Serbs make good prem players usually as well.

    Spurs seem to be after a DM Baptiste Santamaria from Angers for £13m . Been favourably compared to Kante. I think sweeping in and grabbing him would be a good option along with Jovic to use the balls him wins in midfield
